In celebration of the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Civil Service Commission Regional Office XI recognized various agencies and individuals during the Recognition and Awards Rites last September 30, 2016 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.

Davao del Norte State College was one of 11 agencies awarded Maturity Level II by meeting the standards in its PRIME-HRM. The celebration also was an occasion where groups and individuals were recognized as regional winners for Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Pag-asa and Dangal ng Bayan Awards and as Outstanding Public Officials and Employees.

Present in the event were Davao del Norte State College’s President – Dr. Jonathan Bayogan, Chief Administrative Officer – Elvira Dignos, and Human Resource Officer – Lyra May Ordonio to receive the Maturity Level II award for the school’s Performance Management System.

Maturity levels are determined through an assessment conducted to help improve human resource systems. The level II certification means that the awardees like DNSC has fully complied with the requirements in areas like merit, promotions and selection; awards and recognition, and the like.

On the same day, the school culminated its Civil Service Month’s celebration through wellness and recreational activities. In the closing program, Director Nelly Esperanza, Davao del Norte CSC Director, affirmed the good performance of the DNSC family by calling them people “with big hearts”. She also reminded the faculty and staff of their mandate, that is to shape the human resource of the government according to the principles and core values of the institution they represent.

With the plaque of recognition as evidence, DNSC staff and faculty strive for better performance every day, and their hard work pay off through the fair performance-based evaluation of the commended Human Resource Management Office. (end, CNL)
