Davao del Norte State College has successfully conducted a virtual collaboration meeting with the representatives of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia, today, May 27, 2020. The activity aims to effectively start cooperation between DNSC, the Davao del Norte’s flagship college, and UiTM, a public and largest university in Malaysia.
The meeting started with the presentation of the school’s profile and discussed possible areas of cooperation. Dr. Wan Norman Wan Noordin, the Director of the Transnational Education Department at UiTM, expressed her interest in partnering with DNSC and exploring possible academic partnerships which will benefits both institutions. Some of the possible activities discussed were online lectures/training/conferences, guest lecture programs, and promotion of Sustainable Development Goals. Both institutions agreed to conclude the said meeting with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Anchored to the College’s strategic direction, DNSC is poised to intensify its internationalization initiatives and external linkages in the next couple of years with the focal influence in the ASEAN region. As one of the leading universities in Malaysia and its global rankings reputation, UiTM will be a great addition to the existing DNSC global partners.
At present, DNSC has an active partnership with universities in Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India. This activity was initiated by the College Internationalization Initiatives and External Linkages Office.
