PANABO CITY – The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Good Governance (ILEGG) Students Organization (ISO), in collaboration with the Coalition of Future Public Administrators (CoFPA), Disaster Resiliency and Management Student Society (DReaMSS), Junior Social Workers’ Association of the Philippines (JSWAP), Productive Entrepreneurs Student Organization (PESO), and Union of Filipino Tourism Students (UFTS – DNSC), organized the Beacon of Hope: An Outreach Activity among Beneficiaries of MARIPHIL Children’s Village in Nanyo, Panabo City and Child-Hope Field of Dreams Children’s Charity Foundation, Inc. in Tugbok, Davao City.

The main objectives of the activity were to expose DNSC students in collaborative community engagements through outreach programs and encourage learning through immersion that transcends the four walls of a classroom. The student organizations were represented by their officers. The activity was conducted on January 28 – 29, 2023.

The MARIPHIL Children’s Village and Child-Hope Field of Dreams are charitable organizations that shelter kids in need. The student organizations prepared a brief program, snacks, food, and gift packs for the children. In attendance in the event was ILEGG Dean Florie Ann L. Fermil and other faculty members.
