PANABO CITY \u2013 Three Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) students from Davao del Norte State College emerged triumphant during the Junior Social Workers Association of the Philippines (JSWAP) National Council\u2019s activities in celebration of the Social Work Month on March 13 \u2013 17, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Paule Layne M. Buenavista bested other competitors nationwide and was declared champion in the Quiz Bee competition, while Zyra B. Josol also won the first prize in the poster-making contest. Bernard Anton J. Julio represented the college for the mobile photography competition and captured a scene of fisherfolk while they were still on the shore, preparing to depart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The theme for this year\u2019s celebration was \u201cSocial Work Breaks Barriers\u201d. The activities were held virtually. A talk on how the social work profession continues to break barriers was given by Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 7 Director Shalaine Marie Sun-Lucero, RSW, CESO IV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
