PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office XI (DOST XI) for the conduct of an extension project; Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) Program for the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) and Marginalized Communities in Davao del Norte.


The MOA Signing was done on April 1, 2022 at the Office of the College President, Administration Building, DNSC Compound. DNSC was represented by Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, SUC President III, and Dr. Eliseo F. Huesca Jr., Vice President for Research, Extension, and Production, while Engr. Judy Donna dA. Nueva Ecija, Davao del Norte Provincial Science and Technology Director, acted on DOST’s behalf. Also present in the signing were Dr. Mariannie A. Rebortera, DNSC’s Director for Extension, and Santi G. Borlio, DOST staff.


The project is deeply rooted to the College’s mandate of providing instruction, research, and extension, especially to the underserved and underprivileged. It will run until December 2022 and is set to conduct activities that will benefit different communities in Davao del Norte.
