
Panabo City, Davao del Norte – To assist the researchers from Davao del Norte State College in writing research proposals for external funding and writing for scientific publication, the Office of the Research, Extension, and Production will be conducting an intensive 8-day training cum workshop this coming month of April 2021.
The activity’s primary goal is to provide the participants the insight, skills, and processes in writing research proposals for a greater chance to be funded externally. The training series offers lectures, exercises, mentoring, critiquing, and presentations that cover the key steps in writing research proposals and scientific papers for publication.
The first phase of the training will be held on April 5 to 9, which expects to develop three research concepts and one full-blown research program proposal ready for submission either for local or international funding. Meanwhile, the second phase of the training is set to commence on April 19 to 21, which expects to produce six manuscript drafts ready for publication.
Dr. Alejandro F. Tongco from Southern Leyte State University is the invited resource speaker of the said training. Dr. Tongco is the College R & R&D Leader under the RD Lead program of the Department of Science and Technology under the RD Lead program, which aims to strengthen the research capabilities and community extension services of the College.
A total of fifteen participants from the different institutes are expected to participate in the training. The training will be held face to face at the DNSC Audio-Visual Room, adhering to the safety protocols.
