
PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College expressed support to the project “Epanaw” (means journey), spearheaded by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples ( NCIP) in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Department of Tourism which produced three coffee table books.
The coffee table book contains various contents such as the profiles of the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) of the Philippines; the different rituals and festivals of ICCs and IPs; and the tourist destinations, protected areas, and natural resources in ancestral domains.

The launching of the project was conducted last March 14, 2021, which started with the ribbon cutting and opening of the photo exhibit and was followed by the books’ launching. The activity was attended by official dignitaries from the government like Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat and other officials from NCIP.
The College designates Mr. Daniel Fritz Silvallana, Applied Communication Coordinator, as the focal person to support the said endeavor. To know more about the project, you may visit here.
