PANABO CITY – Teachers across all levels have been called to improve their technical abilities to cope up with the challenges of remote and flexible learning. The Institute of Computing of Davao del Norte State College provided a back-to-back skills enhancement training to teachers from the Department of Education, Division of Panabo City, under its project; Empowering Educators through Relevant Information and Communication Technology Training.

The talks on Learning Filmora: Training and Workshop for Basic Video Editing and Rendering was conducted on October 29, 2021, followed by the ICT Training for DepEd Educators on Google Workspace for Education on October 30, 2021. The topics were delivered by IC faculty members, Mr. Jomarie Dave B. Java and Mr. Jovito P. Bolacoy, Jr., respectively.

The opening and closing programs were graced by IC Dean Mark Van M. Buladaco, Extension Project Leader Hazel A. Gameng, as well as officials from the partner agency, Dr. Reynante A. Solitario, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd-Panabo, and Mr. Tyron O. Dujali, IT Officer 1 of DepEd-Panabo.

In his message, Dr. Solitario mentioned that teachers should take advantage of ICT training because of their relevance to the present needs of the students and the delivery of education, in general. The College provides expertise to various partner agencies and organizations through its extension services.
