PANABO CITY – The Local Government of Panabo, through its City Health Office, handed a Certificate of Appreciation to Davao del Norte State College, last February 21, 2022, for its role and support in the implementation of the city’s vaccination roll-out program.

The certificate was personally given by Dr. Algae Rose Sumaong-Hechanova, City Health Officer, and Mafell R. Mugas, CHO Vaccination Coordinator. The guests were welcomed by College President Joy M. Sorrosa, DNSC Covid-19 Task Force Chair Kenny Allan P. Benigno, College Nurse Gemma G. Cervantes, and Faculty Association President Jean D. Centina.

DNSC has served as one of the vaccination sites in the city since July of 2021. It has also participated in nationwide vaccination drives, such as the three-day Bayanihan, Bakunahan: National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign last November 29 to December 1, 2021, and the Sama-samang Vaccination Program for Tertiary Students in Davao Region last November 9 – 12, 2021.

DNSC was also a site for the roll-out of booster shots. The College has its preventive health protocols in place, following the guidelines of the local government unit and COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases. These protocols are monitored and implemented by the DNSC COVID-19 Task Force.
