PANABO CITY – The Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators Region XI (PSITE XI) and the Council of Deans in IT Education conducted the Information Technology Research Congress with the theme, “Sustaining IT Research in the Era of COVID-19 Pandemic”. The activity was held at Malayan Colleges Mindanao, MacArthur Highway, Matina, Davao City, last July 7, 2022.

Three research outputs of graduating IT students were submitted for various competitive categories in the congress. Marahuyo: Web-based Event Management System with Client Satisfaction Forecasting as a Strategic Tool for Alas Creative Events of Tagum City was submitted for the Paper Presentation Competition. Its authors were Justine Rhei C. Torres, Rodylyn Mae C. Viterbo, Darrah Fy O. Pesidas, Ruel John G. Macayana, Luz Clarisse E. Pejer. They were mentored by Mr. Jomarie Dave B. Java.

Davao del Norte State College’s entry for the Project Exhibit Competition was the Cloud-based Task Management and Collaboration Platform, featuring the following proponents: John Albert Q. Balansag, Rommel A. Canoy, Denver F. Divino, Troyd B. Puquiz, and Satreah G. Ranain. Their adviser was Dr. Reir Erlinda E. Cutad. For the Poster Presentation Competition, the participants showcased the Design of an E-Learning Management System for Quezon National High School with Student Behavior Tracking. This was developed by Ryl John L. De Jesus, Erl Jay Montalban, and Julie Anne L. Tadle. They were guided by Dr. Mark Van M. Buladaco.

Faculty members who attended the event were Dean Buladaco, Dr. Hazel A. Gameng, Ms. Jonilyn T. Dabalos, Mr. Jovito P. Bolacoy, and Mr. Jovanne C. Alejandrino.
