PANABO CITY – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) published the official results of the October 2021 Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination last October 13, 2021 in their website. Six graduates of Davao del Norte State College’s Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (DNSC-BSFAS) passed the examination. They were Rhealyn A. Caburog, Melanie G. Dahilan, Jesame C. Enriquez, Nova Fe L. Literatus, Coniegen M. Solis, and Alex A. Tanapan.

Out of the 715 total examinees nationwide, 211 were able to secure their licenses. To mitigate the possible unfavorable effects of large crowd gathering during the pandemic, the Board of Fisheries administered the testing in various areas; Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. The examination was conducted on selected dates of October 2021.

DNSC tallied an overall performance rating of 42.86%. This was way above the overall national passing percentage of 29.55%. Out of the fourteen DNSC takers, six passed. The passers were comprised of one first-time taker and five repeaters. The College ranked seventh best performing school among the institutions with ten or more examinees.
