The Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), in partnership with Hiroshima University and the Professional School for Agriculture and the Environment (PSAE), University of the Philippines Los Baños, is pleased to invite researchers, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from research institutions and academes to submit poster and research abstracts for the 2nd International Research Festival (IRF) on November 27–28, 2023 at Davao del Norte State College, Panabo City, Davao del Norte, Philippines.

The DNSC is committed to becoming a research-intensive university in the next few years. As part of this plan, DNSC will host the International Research Festival 2023, a multidisciplinary conference that will provide a platform for academic and research collaboration in the fields of biodiversity, technology and innovation, food innovation, humanities, culture, and education. The conference will attract peers and interested parties from within and beyond Mindanao. It will be an opportunity to create connections, nurture existing networks, and find new opportunities for collaboration, such as joint research and publications. As a small HEI located in the Global South, DNSC takes a huge step to stride in creating ripples worthy of attention from established academic figures as well as emerging scholars working on thematic areas relevant to DNSC's present and future trajectories.

• Must be written in English, single space, using Times New Roman font size 12, A4 Size (8.2" × 11.7").
• The body text should not be more than 300 words.
• Title must be a maximum of 25 words, bold, uppercase first word letter, with italicized scientific names.
• Must include: Author(s) name, Affiliation, Address, Email address of the corresponding author, and 3–5 keywords (italicized).
• Indicate affiliations with a superscript number before the author's name and in front of the appropriate address.
• In case of multiple authorship, the presenter's name should be underlined.
• Must indicate the conference theme to which the paper abstract relates.
• Must indicate preferred mode of participation — oral, poster, or attendee.
• Use only one page and margin should be set at 1 inch throughout (top/bottom/left/right).
• Abstract should be saved and submitted in MS Word file format.
• Filename format: Thematic area keyword_surname of corresponding author_first three words of abstract title.
