DSFC 2026 Abstract Guidelines

The abstract to be submitted must contain the following information:

FORMAT

  • Must be written in English, single space, using Times New Roman font size 12, A4 Size (8.2″ x 11.7″) paper.
  • The body text should not be more than 300 words (250–300 words).
  • Use only one page and margins should be set at 1 inch throughout (top/bottom/left/right).
  • Abstract should be saved and submitted in MS Word file format.
  • Filename format: Thematic area keyword_surname of corresponding author_first three words of abstract title
    Example: FOE_Dela Cruz_Emerging Digital Pedagogies

REQUIRED CONTENT

  • Title
  • Author(s) name
  • Authors’ Affiliations
  • Authors’ Address
  • Email address of the corresponding author
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords or phrases of 2–3 words, separated by a comma)
  • Conference thematic area (select one)

TITLE RULES

  • Maximum of 25 words, in bold, with the letter of the first word in uppercase and scientific names italicized.

AUTHOR RULES

  • Indicate the presenting author by underlining the presenting author’s name.
  • Indicate affiliations with a superscript number before the author’s name and in front of the appropriate address.
  • In case of multiple authorship, the presenter’s name should be underlined.

REVIEW CRITERIA (scored by 2 reviewers)
Abstracts are evaluated using the following rubric (0–3 points each):

  1. Introductory Statement
    3 pts – Clear, concise, engaging; connects the topic to literature and purpose of work
    2 pts – Clear but not engaging; attempts to connect to literature
    1 pt – Unclear; doesn’t connect to literature
    0 pts – Missing
  2. Purpose
    3 pts – Clear, concise, and relevant
    2 pts – Clear but not concise; may lack specifics
    1 pt – Unclear; contains irrelevant information
    0 pts – Missing
  3. Methodological Approach
    3 pts – Connected to purpose; identifies method used
    2 pts – Unclear or not connected to purpose
    1 pt – Not mentioned but implied; or not appropriate
    0 pts – Missing
  4. Findings
    3 pts – Clear, connected to purpose; explains what was expected, discovered, or accomplished
    2 pts – Attempts to present findings but may be unclear
    1 pt – Unclear or not related to purpose
    0 pts – Missing
  5. Contribution to Discipline
    3 pts – Clearly states how work advances knowledge
    2 pts – Attempts to connect, but may be unclear
    1 pt – Unclear and lacks detail
    0 pts – Missing
  6. Professional Writing
    3 pts – Writing appropriate for the profession; defines all acronyms; appropriate verb tense
    2 pts – Few grammatical errors or typos; mixed verb tense
    1 pt – Many grammatical errors, typos
    0 pts – Grammatical errors impede understanding
  7. Length
    3 pts – 250–300 words
    0 pts – Too long or too short
