PAPER STRUCTURE

  1. Abstract (~300 words; see Abstract Guidelines)
  2. Introduction (~600 words; covers rationale, state of the art, problem analysis)
  3. Materials and Methods (emphasize procedures and data analysis)
  4. Results and Discussion (connecting sentences; use subtitles if long; explains causal effects)
  5. Implications and Recommendations
  6. Literature Cited (APA 7th edition format)

TITLE

  • Maximum 25 words, bold, first word capitalized, scientific names italicized

AUTHORS

  • Underline the presenting author’s name
  • Indicate affiliations with superscript numbers

KEYWORDS

  • 3–5 keywords or phrases (2–3 words each), separated by a comma

ABBREVIATIONS

  • Define at first mention; maintain consistency throughout

FIGURES AND TABLES

  • Maximum of three pages combined
  • Figure captions are placed below the figure; table titles are placed above the table
  • Colored figures are accepted
  • No appendices; all data incorporated into Results and Discussion
  • Tables numbered consecutively with title at the top
  • Do not duplicate data in both tables and figures

SCIENTIFIC NAMES

  • Written in italics; must be stated in full at first mention
  • Genus name may be shortened after first mention (e.g., R. oryzae after first mention of Rhizopus oryzae)

  • Follow APA 7th edition

  • Numbers one to ten written in words; above ten written as numerals (except at the start of a sentence)
