Dr. Asuncion B. De Guzman of MSU-Naawan served as lead trainer, joined by DNSC\u2019s own fisheries and marine science experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what some of our leaders had to say about the importance of this initiative:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This training reminds me of the importance of building local talents that can create multiplier effects&#8230; especially in making our communities food resilient in the future,&#8221; said Dr. Eliseo F. Huesca Jr., Vice President for Research, Extension, and Production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is crucial for fisheries managers, for us to be able to make informed decisions that can prevent overfishing and sustain the health of our marine ecosystems,&#8221; added Dr. Girley S.
