PANABO CITY – Human Resource Management Officers from the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Region XI met to align their institutional implementation of Civil Service Commission (CSC) leave policies and their respective Mental Health and Wellness Programs.

Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) hosted the meeting at its Gender and Development (GAD) Conference Hall on January 23, 2026. Attendees included HR heads from Davao de Oro State College, Davao Oriental State University, Southern Philippines Agri-business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology, University of Southeastern Philippines, and Davao del Sur State College.

“We organized this meeting to ensure a clear, uniform, and consistent understanding of these policies and mental health program implementation across all SUCs, especially regarding the new five-day wellness leave,” said Raquel J. Edjec, DNSC HRMO Head.

Key discussion points included the administration of the wellness leave, service credits for faculty, faculty overload, the treatment of earned sick leave and vacation leave for faculty with administrative functions, and the faculty load release matrix.

The consensus and action items from the meeting are expected to guide each SUC in refining its internal guidelines, fostering a more supportive and consistent work environment for all personnel.
