Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!  

PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) College President, Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, has been awarded the Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Quality Champion Award 2026, the highest distinction for performance excellence given by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. The award venerates Dr. Sorrosa’s leadership and her contributions to advancing DNSC’s quality assurance initiatives.

Named after AACCUP founder Dr. Manuel T. Corpus, the award recognizes SUC presidents who have successfully implemented quality management systems and promotes excellence in public higher education. The awarding took place during the 39th AACCUP National Conference and General Assembly 2026 at the Century Park Hotel in Metro Manila, under the theme, “Advancing QA: Research, Science, and Technology for Transformative Education and Sustainable Development”.

During the same ceremony, Dr. Ma. Melanie N. Edig, DNSC Director for Quality Assurance, was recognized with the Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Accreditor Award 2026 for her exemplary service as an accreditor both at DNSC and within the AACCUP network.

The conference and general assembly sought to strengthen national quality assurance systems in higher education and research, harness science and technology to enhance teaching, learning, and institutional performance, and foster collaboration and partnerships among key stakeholders. It also encouraged innovation and interdisciplinary approaches for sustainable development, developed policy recommendations to guide national education and QA reforms, and recognized outstanding QA champions, advocates, and lifetime achievers.
