PANABO CITY — Demonstrating academic excellence on a national stage, Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) student, Sharie Rose C. Truya, secured the 1st runner-up title in the National Teacher Education Quiz Bee 2026, besting a competitive field of 175 contestants from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Carrying this year’s theme, “ASEAN to the World”, Truya showcased mastery of professional education and general knowledge, earning her a cash prize of PhP 30,000, along with a trophy and certificate.
The national competition was conducted through a remote setup across designated review centers of the Carl E. Balita Review Centers and was streamed live, allowing participants from across the country to compete simultaneously.
She was guided by her coach, Mr. Maiko H. Anicoy, and supported by DNSC LET Review Coordinator, Mr. Ariel Jr. C. Balio.
