PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College welcomed a new generation of student leaders during Pasidungog 2026: Honoring Leaders Across New Dimensions on June 2, 2026, at the DNSC Gymnasium.
The recognition and installation ceremony spotlighted the accomplishments of outgoing student leaders and marked the assumption of office of newly elected officers for the Academc Year 2026–2027. The event was organized by the DNSC Federal Student Government (FSG), in coordination with the Student Organizations Unit and the Student Development and Services Division.
In her message, Vice President for Academic Affairs Girley S. Gumanao, challenged the incoming leaders to view leadership as a commitment to service and positive change.
“True leadership is not about holding a title; it is about action, service, and the courage to make a difference. You are the bridge between ideas and reality, the spark that ignites change, and the voice that represents your peers,” Gumanao said.
The program incorporated the State of the Student Government Address delivered by outgoing FSG President Rodney Jhon Gonzales, the ceremonial turnover of the FSG Accomplishment Book for Academic Year 2025–2026, and the Parangal for FSG Officers.
The Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC) also proclaimed the winners of the recently concluded student elections.
Newly elected officers of the Federal Student Government, Local Student Governments, and Program-Based Organizations then took their oath of office. The transition of leadership was formalized through the turnover and acceptance of the Key of Responsibility, followed by the acceptance speech of newly installed FSG President Johannah Aliah Beltran.
DNSC President Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa encouraged the student leaders to use their positions to promote unity and inspire their fellow students, “Leadership is not measured only by projects, but by the values you embody and the lives you touch.”
