PANABO CITY — The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI has granted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) to the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), effective Academic Year 2026–2027.
The COPC confirms that the program complies with CHED policies, standards, and guidelines for higher education programs and is authorized for implementation.
The approval followed evaluations conducted by CHED XI’s Regional Quality Assessment Team, including an ocular inspection at DNSC Carmen Campus on March 17, 2026. The team assessed faculty qualifications, facilities, learning resources, student support services, and program implementation.
The BPEd program is expected to prepare students for careers in teaching, coaching, fitness instruction, sports development, and related fields.
DNSC acknowledged the support of key contributors to the COPC preparation and evaluation, including Dr. Arnold M. Duping, Dean of the Institute of Teacher Education; Dr. Fhernand B. Bugais, Campus Administrator of DNSC Carmen Campus; Ms. Mariquit C. Alano, Administrative Section Head of DNSC Carmen Campus and staff; BPEd faculty members led by Program Chair, Dr. Rachel Anne T. Ramos; faculty members; local COPC task force, Administrative Services Division; Finance Services Division; Curriculum and Instruction Division, headed by Dr. Leonida P. Piorac; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Girley S. Gumanao; and College President, Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa.
