PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College, in coordination with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region XI, conducted a one-day Orientation on Public Service Ethics and Accountability (PSEA) on August 7, 2026, at the Gender and Development Conference Hall.
CSC Senior Human Resource Specialist Reilee Jill Renee M. Villanueva served as the resource speaker. She reminded the participants of their role in shaping workplace culture, saying, “Influence your workplace with positivity. Influence them with professionalism.”
The orientation provided the newly hired personnel with an avenue to understand the ethical standards and accountability expected of government employees as they begin their careers in public service.
For Raquel J. Edjec, Director for Human Resource Management, ethical conduct extends beyond compliance with rules and formal proceedings.
“Ethics is not something we practice only inside this conference room; it is our daily uniform. Accountability is not fear of an audit; it is the pride of doing right when no one is watching around you,” she added.
She urged the participants to bring these principles into their respective workplaces, emphasizing that integrity should remain constant even in situations without direct supervision.
The PSEA orientation forms part of DNSC’s efforts to instill ethical conduct, professionalism, and accountability among its personnel, particularly those beginning their service in the institution.
