PANABO CITY – As Davao del Norte State College advances toward greater institutional milestones, members of the College Management Team, campus administrators, and unit heads convened to evaluate accomplishments, address emerging challenges, and align priorities for the remainder of the year during the Midyear Planning and Evaluation for Calendar Year 2026 held on August 24-26, at SeaClouds Mountain View Resort.
The three-day activity, organized by the Institutional Planning and Project Development Division, served as a strategic platform for reviewing the College’s performance during the first half of 2026 and identifying key directions to sustain institutional growth and transformation.
Setting the tone for the discussions, DNSC President, Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, presented the College’s major milestones and challenges, highlighting its continued recognition in various global institutional rankings and the achievement of full compliance in academic quality assurance.
Pres. Sorrosa reported that DNSC has attained 100 percent Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) coverage for both graduate and undergraduate programs, alongside 100 percent accreditation of its academic programs.
Despite these accomplishments, she emphasized the need to address challenges related to funding and the College’s pursuit of universityhood, noting that sustained institutional development requires strategic planning, resource generation, and collective action across all sectors of the College.
The activity also featured the presentation of accomplishments from January to June 2026 by the College’s deans, directors, campus administrators, and vice presidents. The presentations provided a comprehensive review of initiatives, accomplishments, performance indicators, and operational challenges encountered during the period, while outlining corresponding ways forward for the succeeding months.
Through the sharing of accomplishments and best practices, participants identified opportunities for stronger collaboration, improved service delivery, and enhanced alignment of programs and projects with the College’s strategic goals.
