PANABO CITY — The Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) Futsal Varsity Team emerged as champion in the Women’s Open Category of the 1st SK Kinamayan Invitational Futsal Tournament held on September 20, 2026, at the Brgy. Kinamayan Gymnasium in Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.
The DNSC squad secured the championship among nine participating teams divided into two brackets, capping their campaign with the tournament’s top prize in the women’s open division.
The team was composed of Khylie Honey Danrel D. Abango, May Ann B. Acabado, Laizary Carla Mae A. Bruse, Denise Ariane A. Cadayona, Jamela Lyca C. Comidoy, Joyce A. Labajo, Cludette Ynez C. Lepornio, Mary Joy A. Nalo, Elysalyn I. Olavides, Ivy R. Pamon, and Christ Sandra Marie J. Piza.
Individual performances also earned recognition, with Acabado named Tournament Best Goalkeeper, Bruse receiving the Tournament Most Valuable Player award, and Lepornio earning Tournament Best Defender honors.
Coached by Patricia Aniscal and Czarina Nicole Lara M. Lanes, the DNSC Futsal Varsity Team received medals, a championship trophy, and a cash prize of ₱3,000.
The tournament was organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Kinamayan, in collaboration with FC Sibara, providing participating teams an avenue to compete and showcase their skills in futsal.
