PANABO CITY – The Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) Faculty Association held its elections today, February 6, 2025, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, at the Academic Building Rooms 1-4.
The lone slate, TATAK Party (Tiwala at Tiyaga na Alyansa ng mga Kaguruan sa DNSC), fielded the following candidates: Leo D. Rayon Jr. for Secretary-General, Samuel A. Plando for President, Sabar G. Hasan for Vice President, Samsel Rhys A. Pampilon for Secretary, Bernadita T. Rodriguez for Treasurer, Jean D. Centina for Auditor, Kristine Joy S. Gumanao for Business Manager, and John Rae V. Duran for Public Information Officer. Running for the Board of Directors were Ronald S. Decano, Jude M. Magdayao, Boyeth C. Pelone, and Nancy R. Raiz.
In her opening remarks during the presentation of the candidates, outgoing Faculty Association President Jean D. Centina highlighted the importance of unity and mutual support among faculty members. She encouraged everyone to foster a positive and collaborative work environment, emphasizing that DNSC should feel like a “home away from home” where working is both meaningful and fulfilling. For the elections to be valid, at least 98 out of 193 members must cast their votes.
