
PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College earned a 5-star rating with a Grade A and a 99% score in the Preliminary Energy Audit conducted by the Department of Energy (DOE) – Energy Utilization Management Division Mindanao Field Office on August 20, 2026.
The audit was conducted as part of the DOE’s efforts to accelerate the implementation of the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) across government agencies. It examined DNSC’s compliance with the GEMP, evaluated the College’s overall energy performance, and identified opportunities to further improve energy efficiency and conservation practices.
The preliminary audit covered three key areas of the College’s energy management practices: EEC Office Policy, Best Practices for Electricity Conservation, and Best Practices for Fuel Conservation. The 99% score and 5-star Grade A rating reflect DNSC’s established policies and practices in managing energy consumption and promoting efficiency across its operations.
The audit was facilitated on behalf of DNSC by its Energy Efficiency and Conservation Officers and Focal Persons, who coordinated the assessment and presented the College’s policies, practices, and initiatives related to energy management and conservation.
The strong audit result is a testament of DNSC’s commitment to responsible resource management and sustainable institutional operations.
