
PANABO CITY – A team from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Higher Education Development Fund (HEDF) conducted the tagging, inspection, and turnover of equipment procured under the HEDF-funded project “Development of Laboratory Facilities for the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry Program: A Commitment to COPC Compliance”, on October 1, 2026, at Davao del Norte State College Talaingod Campus.
Representing DNSC during the activity were Dr. Ma. Melanie N. Edig, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rosie Lynn P. Tejada, Dean of the Institute of Aquatic and Applied Sciences, and Ashwin B. Opelinia, IAAS staff.
The DJAL Talaingod Campus project team was represented by Hazel E. Macalisang, project leader, along with Gladys P. Guzman, Jigo G. Avenido, Ailyn B. Mendoza, Rowel C. Bartolome, Jimmy Bangilon, and Jandy D. Lerop.
Also participating were Dr. Lourdes D. Cesar of CHED Regional Office XI and Carolyne M. Patayan, Emerson P. Flordeliza, Richard Dean N. Gavilan, and Joel Delos Reyes of the CHED Central Office.
The HEDF-funded initiative supports the development of laboratory facilities for DNSC’s Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry (BSAF) program, particularly in meeting the requirements for its Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
Through the inspection, tagging, and turnover, the project formally accounts for the equipment procured under the HEDF support and strengthens the laboratory resources available for the implementation of the BSAF program at the Talaingod Campus.
