PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College retained its 81st-place ranking in Southeast Asia and rose to fourth nationally in the AppliedEdu Public University Ranking ASEAN 2027, earning an overall score of 46.3 and ranking first in Region XI.

The fourth edition of the AppliedEdu Public and Private University Rankings: ASEAN involves 161 public universities across eight ASEAN countries, assessing institutions through indicators of academic performance, graduate employability, institutional reputation, and societal impact.

AppliedEdu, formerly AppliedHE, is a Singapore-based education technology company that has published university rankings since 2021. Its framework emphasizes employability, student and alumni perspectives, and real-world outcomes.

The ranking evaluates universities across six criteria: teaching and learning (40%), employability (15%), research (15%), institutional reputation (10%), community engagement (10%), and internationalization (10%).

An independent AppliedEdu Ranking Advisory Board (RAB) oversees the development and compilation of the rankings to promote objectivity, transparency, and alignment with international best practices.

For the 2027 edition, institutional data submission through the AppliedEdu Vault portal began on February 10, 2026. DNSC’s detailed scores across the six criteria have yet to be released.
