Pagpasidungog 2026

PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College recognized its successful examinees in the 2026 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals (LEFP) and Food Technologists Licensure Examination (FTLE) during Pagpasidungog: Honoring Excellence on October 22, 2026, at the Institute of Aquatic and Applied Sciences (IAAS) Review Center.

The recognition ceremony gathered newly licensed fisheries professionals and food technologists to celebrate their achievements and acknowledge the dedication that led to their success in the licensure examinations.

“Passing the board exam is a significant achievement that reflects your commitment to your chosen profession. Your success is also a source of pride for your families, loved ones, and mentors. To the entire DNSC community, we are really very proud of you,” said Dr. Rosie Lynn P. Tejada, IAAS Dean.

Representing College President Joy M. Sorrosa, Dr. Leo D. Rayon Jr., Director for Research, emphasized the responsibilities that come with professional licensure, particularly in advancing food safety and sustainable fisheries.

“To our new professional food technologists, you have an important role in ensuring food safety, improving product quality, advancing food innovation, and strengthening food security,” Dr. Rayon reminded the passers.

He also called on the newly licensed fisheries professionals to promote sustainable fisheries, protect aquatic ecosystems, improve productivity, and support the livelihoods of fisheries communities.

Rosita Cabusao, PFT, one of the passers, shared the challenges of balancing professional responsibilities and examination preparation, emphasizing the discipline and perseverance required to achieve her goal.

“I was already working during the daytime, so I had to manage my time carefully. After work, I would study from around 7:00–11:00 in the evening and wake up early to continue reviewing before another day began,” Cabusao recounted.

“There were times when my body wanted to rest, but my dream reminded me to keep going,” she added.

Through Pagpasidungog, DNSC celebrated the accomplishments of its newly licensed professionals and highlighted their role in advancing the fisheries and food technology sectors through responsible and competent professional practice.
