PANABO CITY – The Institute of Advanced Studies (IAdS) at Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) conducted a training session on book writing and publication techniques, dubbed as “From Idea to Publication: Strategies for Writing a Successful Book”, on February 28, 2025, at the Gender and Development (GAD) Conference Room.
The seminar aimed to help participants develop book ideas aligned with instructional goals, refine writing techniques, and explore various publishing options. Resource speaker Dr. Ronnie V. Amorado, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Mindanao, encouraged faculty members to pursue book writing. “Based on experience, writing a book is fulfilling. It is in writing that you are immortalized. As members of the academe, we find joy in publishing journal articles, but there is even greater fulfillment in writing a book,” he shared.
IAdS faculty members participated in the session. In her closing remarks, IAdS Dean Dr. Nickel Jean S. Lagare-Sastine expressed optimism about inspiring future authors. “We hope this marks the beginning of a journey toward producing more book writers,” she said.
