PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) participated in the 4th quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM, marking the completion of its involvement in all four NSEDs for the fiscal year.
During the drill, all personnel, students, and other individuals present on campus were directed to perform basic earthquake protocols and follow evacuation procedures. The College Disaster Resilience and Administration Committee (DRAC) and the Student Emergency Response Team (SERT) facilitated the drill, ensuring all stakeholders were guided. Basic first aid and psychological support were also activated during the activity.
Promoting earthquake preparedness is a key component of Republic Act 10121, also known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010. DNSC adheres to an institutionalized incident command system to manage crises and emergencies efficiently.
