PANABO CITY – Officials from Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) visited Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) on March 21, 2025, at the Gender and Development (GAD) Entertainment Room.

DNSC President Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa welcomed the guests, emphasizing benchmarking as a two-way learning opportunity for academic collaboration.

Dean Florie Ann L. Fermil of the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Good Governance highlighted DNSC’s partnership with the Social Entrepreneurship Technology and Business Institute (SETBI) and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) in managing the College Education Behind Bars (CEBB) program at the Davao Prison and Penal Farm. She underscored how its Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program equips persons deprived of liberty with livelihood and business skills for reintegration into society.

Mr. Merjun Q. Cañas, Head of Internationalization Initiatives and External Affairs, discussed DNSC’s faculty and student mobility programs.

Concluding the visit, JRMSU President Dr. Maria Rio A. Naguit expressed gratitude for the insightful discussions and DNSC’s warm hospitality.
