PANABO CITY – The Job Placement Office (JPO) of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) was recognized as the Regional Winner and National Contender in the 2024 Search for Best Public Employment Service Office (SBP) Awards during the 2025 Regional PES Midyear Performance and Assessment held on August 7–8, 2025, at the 2nd Floor Activity Hall of the Provincial Capitol of Davao de Oro.
The distinction was conferred by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the JPO’s “exemplary dedication and commitment to excellence in implementing DOLE programs and services, particularly in employment promotion and facilitation.” The award was formally presented by Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy, DOLE Regional Director, who lauded the office’s performance and impact on local employment initiatives. It was personally received by DNSC JPO Head Maricielo Paula E. Funa.
As a result of this achievement, the DNSC JPO becomes an eligible recipient of ₱1 million worth of assistance under DOLE’s Integrated Livelihood Program or the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, enabling the office to further strengthen its efforts in creating livelihood opportunities and improving employability in the community.
