PANABO CITY – The Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the eight recipients of the 2025 Gawad Pagasa Awards, as deliberated and approved by the Special Committee on Awards for Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo and Gawad Pagasa. Among the awardees is the Davao del Norte Learning Institute (DNLI), a collaborative initiative of the Province of Davao del Norte and Davao del Norte State College (DNSC).

The announcement was released on the official CSC page on September 10, 2025, citing Memorandum Circular Order 11, series of 2025. DNLI offers a specialized curriculum for adult learners, specifically government employees across the province, providing them with opportunities for professional development and the chance to complete their higher education studies.

This initiative enhances the skills, knowledge, and overall status of government workers in Davao del Norte. By equipping public servants with advanced education and training, DNLI not only improves the quality of public service delivery but also boosts the recognition, morale, and career growth of government personnel across the province.

Recognized members of the DNLI team include Dr. Mervin Jay Z. Suaybaguio, Provincial Information Officer; Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, College President; Florie Ann L. Fermil, Dean of the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Good Governance; and Lou Helen R. Tayone, Senior Administrative Assistant.

The awarding ceremony is scheduled later this month, coinciding with the celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.
