Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!

Panabo City – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) conducted a series of activities in observance of the Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The month-long initiative, under the theme, “Hope Begins with Us”, seeks to promote mental health, encourage hope, and empower peer support across DNSC’s campuses.

The campaign officially began on September 17, 2025, with Wear Yellow Day at the DNSC Main Campus, Talaingod Campus, Carmen Campus, and IGACOS Campus. The graduate school students and the Davao del Norte Learning Institute (DNLI) held their own Wear Yellow Days on September 20 and 27.

The Wall of Positivity was also opened on September 17, giving students an avenue to share uplifting words and messages of encouragement with their peers.

One of the key highlights of the campaign is the Training for Student Peer Facilitators on September 18–19, which equipped participants with essential skills in active listening, empathy, and referral techniques. The training strengthened the role of peer facilitators as frontliners in promoting mental health and supporting suicide prevention efforts within the DNSC community.

The initiative is spearheaded by the Office of the Guidance, Counselling, and Testing, the Office of the Medical and Dental Services, the Peer Facilitators Club, and the Adventist Ministry to College and University Students (AMiCUS).
