PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) brought its monthlong celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary to a close with the Parangal ng mga Lingkod Bayani, held at the DNSC Gymnasium.

The culminating event honored the college’s retirees, loyal employees, mentors, and outstanding performers whose commitment to public service embodies the values of excellence and integrity. In her opening message, College President Joy M. Sorrosa underscored the essence of public service, saying, “We know that public service is not merely a profession, it is a calling. And with that calling comes a sacred covenant: public trust… To everyone present, may we continue to nurture a culture of honor within our college, one that pursues excellence not for recognition, but as the highest form of service.”

The program featured a tribute to retirees, Ms. Sol D. Sotomil and Ms. Dionisia S. Namuag, followed by the conferment of various recognitions such as Loyalty Awards, Special Awards, DNSC-SETBI College Education Behind Bars Mentors Awards, Research, Extension, and Production Awardees, Mentors of Topnotchers Awards, and the Outstanding Employees 2025 Awards.
