Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!  

PANABO CITY — The final round of the Passage to ASEAN (P2A): Hybrid Mobility by Disciplines 2025 – International Cultural Heritage Exhibition Week concluded on October 21, 2025, with Team 9, “Pastilan”, from Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) earning 2nd Place out of 27 competing teams across Southeast Asia.

Representing the Philippines, the DNSC team showcased creativity and cultural insight through their project titled, “Pastilan: Frustrations over Changing Cultural Identity of Mindanao Staple Food”. The entry explored the evolving cultural narratives behind pastil, a traditional Mindanao dish, and examined how globalization influences local heritage and identity.

In addition to their 2nd Place finish, Team Pastilan also received the Special Award for being the Most Outspoken and Socially Aware, recognizing their communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to articulate social perspectives.

The winning team was composed of Rodney John Gonzales, Dhoel James Recaña, Pauline Kate Rosas, Alessandra Mauleon, and Vincent Paul Angelo Salas, under the mentorship of Ms. Samsel Rhys Sulotan and Mr. John Rae Duran.

Through initiatives like the P2A Cultural Heritage Exhibition, DNSC continues to champion global learning experiences that celebrate local identity while fostering international collaboration and cross-cultural understanding.
