PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), through the activation of the Disaster Resiliency and Administration Committee (DRAC), participated in the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 6, 2025, as part of its ongoing disaster preparedness initiatives and in preparation for the upcoming Gawad KALASAG evaluation.

Pursuant to College Memorandum Order No. 109, series of 2025, all college personnel and stakeholders present on campus were instructed to take part in the drill and perform earthquake response procedures. Faculty members were also advised to apply the protocols and strategies learned from recent orientations and to guide students to their designated evacuation areas.

The activity supports DNSC’s continuous efforts to strengthen campus safety and disaster resilience in line with the national initiative of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD). The NSED, conducted quarterly, aims to enhance community and institutional preparedness for high-magnitude seismic events. According to the OCD, regular participation in earthquake drills helps assess and improve emergency response mechanisms, foster a culture of preparedness, and promote coordination among government agencies, institutions, and the general public.
