PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), through its Learning and Information Resource Center (LIRC) in collaboration with the Society of English Major Students (SEMS), launched its monthlong celebration of Library and Information Services (LIS) Month and the 91st National Book Week this November.
The annual observance highlights the importance of libraries, literacy, and lifelong learning within the academic community. The festivities began with the “Voice Behind the Words” segment during the weekly flag-raising ceremony. Throughout the month, the LIRC organized a diverse lineup of activities designed to encourage creativity, promote reading appreciation, and engage both students and employees.
This year’s activities included an Online Trivia Contest, Online Local Witty Lines Contest, Online Book Face Photography Contest, Online Book Spine Poetry Contest, Online Digital Poster Making Contest, Online Book Adaptation Contest, Spoken Word Poetry, an Online Booktok Challenge, and a Vocal Duet competition.
All activities featured separate categories for students and employees, ensuring wide participation and fostering a spirit of friendly competition across the DNSC community.
