PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College, through the Quality Assurance Office, conducted a Document Control Custodian Training, in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards, on November 21, 2025, at the Gender and Development (GAD) Conference Room.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Ma. Melanie N. Edig, Director for Quality Assurance, emphasized the training’s importance, “The work we do every day supports transparency, efficiency, and compliance. These are key elements that allow our college to perform at its best. Today’s training is designed to enhance competencies and strengthen shared understanding of procedures, responsibilities, and best practices.”
Facilitated by ISO Consultant Mary Glory Caunin, the session covered topics such as Introduction to Quality Management System Documentation, ISO 9001:2015 QMS Requirements, Clause 7.5 Guidance, Preparation for QMS Documentation, Roles and Responsibilities of Personnel, and the Registration and Maintenance of Documented Information. Participants gained knowledge and tools to keep documents accurate, traceable, and aligned with international standards.
The training concluded with Amalia M. Caballero, DCC Head, mentioning the value of proper document management, “By managing our documents well, we ensure everything stays accurate and easy to track. As we continue improving our document control process, let’s remain transparent, accountable, and committed to finding better ways to do things.”
