PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), through its Internationalization Initiatives and External Affairs Office (IIEAO), hosted a Guest Visit and Lecture Session titled Global Perspectives on Food Technology on December 3, 2024, at the DNSC Audio-Visual Room.

The event featured Dr. Yogiara, S.Si, Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, who delivered an engaging lecture on Tempeh, an Indonesian Fermented Food: Health Benefits and Microbiological Aspects. The session was attended by faculty members and selected students from DNSC’s Bachelor of Science in Food Technology program.

In her welcome remarks, Vice President for Administration and Finance Reir Erlinda E. Cutad expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative. “Today’s lecture offers valuable insights into global trends and innovations, inspiring our BS Food Tech students to strive for excellence in their field and equipping them to navigate emerging challenges and opportunities,” she said.

Other guests during the program included Mr. Adre Zaif Rachman, Head of the International Affairs Office of Atma Jaya and her staff, Ms. Anastasia Hapsari, and Mr. Charles Andre F. Nieves, Coordinator for External Relations and Internation Office of the University of Immaculate Conception. The activity underscored DNSC’s commitment to broadening the academic and professional perspectives of its students through international collaborations.
