PANABO CITY – The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) has awarded Level III Re-accredited Status to Davao del Norte State College’s Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (BSF) program. The program underwent assessment by AACCUP on April 8, 2024.
This accreditation status highlights the college’s and the program’s commitment to sustained quality improvement and development. The BS Fisheries program successfully met AACCUP’s standards in key areas such as instruction, extension, research, and linkages.
The assessment was conducted by a team of external evaluators: Dr. Francis N. Baleta of Partido State University, Dr. Noel A. Armada of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries, and Dr. Manuel T. Corpus of AACCUP. Their recommendations, aimed at further enhancing the program, included conducting a tracer study, developing instructional materials, and preparing an extension agenda.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, the Fisheries Department remarked, “This milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the administration, faculty, staff, and students involved in the program.”
