Filipino Food Month Culmination Activity DNSC

PANABO CITY – In adherence to Presidential Proclamation No. 469, series of 2018, declaring the Month of April as Filipino Food Month or Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino, Davao del Norte State College, through the Society of Livelihood Education Technologists (SLET) and the Philippine Association of Food Technologists – PHI Chapter (PAFT), organized a culmination activity that involved the celebration of Filipino games and food.

The event was conducted at the DNSC open court and was participated by the employees and students on April 26, 2023. SLET and PAFT are organizations of the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) and Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT) students. The participants enjoyed a Zumba exercise, followed by a dance presentation, Filipino games, and salo-salo (banquet).

Ms. Ma. Kristine Patarata, SLET adviser, and Ms. Ria Jayne Tabinas, PAFT adviser, gave their messages to open and close the celebration. The theme for this year was, “Pagkaing Sariling Atin, Mahalin at Pagyamanin”.
