PANABO CITY – The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), the focal organization for the APO Center of Excellence on Public-Sector Productivity (COE-PSP), awarded a special citation to Davao del Norte State College’s Procurement Management System (DNSC-PMS) for its innovative approach to public service and its commitment to reducing at least 100,000 hours in public transactions.

The award was presented during the culmination of Fastbreak 2024 on November 27, 2024, at DAP Pasig City, Metro Manila. College President Joy M. Sorrosa and Vice President for Administration and Finance Reir Erlinda E. Cutad received the award. DNSC’s PMS, an in-house developed system, streamlines the procurement process from planning and budgeting to purchasing and monitoring. It is accessible to all fund managers and generates reports that assist the College’s Management Team and office heads in decision-making.

With the integration of the system, DNSC reported a reduction of 456,593.14 transaction hours. This development is part of the college’s long-term sustainability goal to implement smart and innovative practices for more efficient and effective processes and governance.

During the awarding ceremony, DAP also launched a new challenge for 2025: to become fully paperless and save one million sheets of paper.
