PANABO CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office XI and Davao del Norte State College formalized a Memorandum of Agreement, allowing the access of DNSC students to DOLE’s Government Internship Program (GIP). The MOA signing was done on May 17, 2023, at the Office of the DNSC College President.

DNSC was represented by Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa while DOLE XI was represented by Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy, DOLE Regional Director. The signing was witnessed by Angelina A. Talingting, Provincial Head of DOLE Davao del Norte Field Office, and Maricielo Paula E. Funa, DNSC’s Job Placement Officer.

GIP empowers young workers to gain experience in public offices and agencies for three to six months. The qualified interns will receive a stipend for their hours rendered in public service. The program targets young and indigent workers. To qualify, the applicant should be 18 – 30 years of age, at least a high school or senior high school graduate, or its equivalent level under the Alternative Learning System (ALS) or Technical-Vocational graduates. Students with no work experience are encouraged to apply.
