PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), through the Quality Assurance Office (QA) and Institute of Advanced Studies (IAdS), hosted the technical panel for Teacher Education from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the application of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) of the Master in Science Teaching (MST) with Majors in Biology and Mathematics and the Master of Arts in Basic Education (MABE) programs.

The on-site evaluation, held on July 29, 2024, at the DNSC Gender and Development (GAD) Conference Room and Entertainment Room, aimed to ensure that these programs meet CHED’s policies, standards, and guidelines. The technical panel included Dr. Evelyn S. Ecle, CHED XI Education Supervisor, Dr. Filomena T. Dayagbil, Dr. Ruby A. Serrano from the CHED XI Quality Assessment Team, and representatives from the CHED Office of Programs and Standards Development, Ms. Ana Cristina T. Biglete and Ms. Ma. Katrina Cosico.

The DNSC delegation was led by College President Joy M. Sorrosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs Girley S. Gumanao, IAdS Dean Nickel Jean Lagare-Sastine, program chairs, and faculty members of the involved programs. While the panel has yet to communicate the official results of the evaluation, the College presented evidences of its compliance with the standards set by the Commission, covering all areas of operations.
