PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) employees are competing for the best community outreach proposal that will benefit an organization of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Davao del Norte, as part of the College’s celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.
Dubbed Kasadyaan Festival sa DNSC, the annual celebration brings employees together through sports tournaments, health and wellness activities, variety shows, awards and gala, and community-oriented initiatives.
For this year’s celebration, DNSC employees were divided into four teams, with each team tasked to develop a project proposal addressing the needs of a PWD organization in the province.
The four proposals focus on kimchi-making livelihood training, leadership training, recycled plastic bag-making livelihood training, and psychosocial support.
The preliminary judging was held on September 9 at the Audio-Visual Room, where an internal panel evaluated the proposals and provided feedback to the teams.
On September 18, the proponents and members of the organizing committee presented the proposed projects directly to representatives of the beneficiary organization, who also participated in the evaluation.
The winning team will receive ₱30,000 in funding to implement its proposed project throughout the year.|
The final rating will be based on the internal panel’s 60 percent assessment and the beneficiaries’ 40 percent rating.
The winning proposal will be announced during the culmination ceremony of the Kasadyaan Festival sa DNSC.
