PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College’s Engineering and Infrastructure Unit, led by Engr. Joenabel A. Ganiera, along with the Constructors Performance Evaluation System (CPES) implementers, met with evaluators to assess the Design and Build Project for the Upgrading of the Existing Learning and Information Resource Center (LIRC) undertaken by the contractor, RPHinlog Structural Consultancy and Construction Services Inc., from December 10 to 13, 2024.

The CPES was developed to establish a uniform criterion for rating constructors’ performance, create a centralized database of performance ratings for licensing, pre-qualification, quality improvement, and other purposes for government agencies, project owners, and other interested parties. It also aims to ensure that infrastructure projects meet the specified requirements of project owners.

The Constructors’ Performance Evaluators (CPEs) included Ar. Leonard P. Cordero (team leader), Engr. Nikki C. Najarro, and Engr. Renz Maverick C. Alcance. On the first day, DNSC engineers presented the project, followed by the evaluation of the project documents. The second day involved a site inspection and evaluation to check the project’s compliance with the project plans and specifications.

During the closing program, CPEs discussed their findings and observations. The contractor received a score of 82.302%, equivalent to a satisfactory rating. The evaluators and the contractor also presented an initial corrective action plan to address the findings.
