PANABO CITY – The Research, Development, and Extension units organized the Agency In-House Review for Completed Research and Extension Projects on April 10, 2026, via Microsoft Teams, bringing together faculty members from various institutes, alongside external evaluators.
A total of 31 research proposals and 23 extension projects underwent evaluation across four parallel sessions, categorized into Cluster A (Marine Science, Fisheries, Food Science, and Agroforestry), Cluster B (Gender and Development, Social Studies), Cluster C (Information Technology/Systems), and Cluster D (Education, Communication, and Linguistics).
In his opening message, Dr. Eliseo F. Huesca Jr., Vice President for RDE, underscored the annual review as a platform for refining outputs, stating, “This annual in-house review is not merely a formal requirement; it is a collaborative space where we refine our completed findings and prepare them for their next stage, whether as peer-reviewed publications or as practical tools that benefit the communities we serve.”
“Let us use this day to ensure that our hard work does not simply remain on the shelf, but truly serves the people of the province and beyond,” he added.
The activity focused on assessing the quality, relevance, and applicability of completed research and extension initiatives. This step is part of the institution’s commitment to knowledge production and community development.
