PANABO CITY – Members of the College Management Team, headed by Davao del Norte State College President Joy M. Sorrosa, alongside invited office heads, gathered for the Yearend Planning 2023 on December 18 – 19, 2023 at the DNSC Gender and Development Conference Room.
The activity started with a presentation of milestones and challenges by the president. One of the highlights was the operationalization of the DNSC Carmen campus, a testament to the college’s expansion to serve more students in the province. Pres. Sorrosa also mentioned the awarding of the much-awaited Certificate of Program Compliance to the Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management and Master of Arts in Educational Management. After the leadership’s presentation, a comprehensive discussion ensued regarding the forthcoming universityhood of the college, focusing on developing a new organizational structure and monitoring strategic plans.
The new Program Expenditure Classification Indicators were also discussed, highlighting a structured and transparent framework for assessing, analyzing, and reporting financial allocations. The attendees were able to listen to the latest updates on the College’s Performance-based bonus indicators for 2023, and each delivery unit was also able to present accumulated accomplishments throughout the year. The unit heads included catch-up plans for unattained targets and development plans for their ways forward in 2024.
A brief fellowship program capped the activity. The event was organized by the Planning and Resource Management Office. The annual initiative is a vital foundation for continuous improvement in delivering high-quality education.
