PANABO CITY – Five state universities and colleges (SUCs) under the leadership of CHED Commissioner, Dr. Aldrin A. Darilag, conducted their first quarter board of trustees (BOT) meeting for calendar year 2023 at Davao del Norte State College, New Visayas, Panabo City. Aside from DNSC, the four other SUCs were Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU), Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC), Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), and Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST).


During the BOT meeting of DNSC, Chair Darilag presided over the oath-taking of Hon. Janet T. Matuguinas, the new private sector representative. Other BOT members who were in attendance during the meeting were Chair Darilag, DNSC President Joy M. Sorrosa, DOST XI Regional Director Anthony C. Sales (represented by Hon. Judy Donna DA. Nueva Ecija), Faculty Representative Jean D. Centina, Student Representative Joshua Rae A. Ruloos, Alumni Representative Elaine Mae A. Ventura, Private Sector Representative Reynaldo T. Gulane, and College and Board Secretary Jeremy B. Barnido.


Hon. Glen A. Pangalapan (representing the Chair of the Senate Committee on Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education) and Hon. Alan R. Dujali (representing the Chair of the House of Representatives Committee on Higher and Technical Education) joined the meeting via Zoom. The BOT meetings lasted from April 4 to 5, 2023.
